BMW Ibérica, a leader in the premium automotive sector, is undertaking a strategic renovation of its common areas at its corporate headquarters at Avenida de Burgos 118 in Madrid. The objective: to update and reinterpret its spaces, reinforcing the brand identity and improving the employee and visitor experience. The Ubicca project focuses on three key areas: the atrium, the canteen, and the terrace. Each has been redesigned from a contemporary, functional, and welcoming perspective, aligned with the brand’s values of innovation, elegance, and well-being.
The atrium, once merely a transit space, becomes a true meeting point. Leveraging height, overhead lighting, and its location, the atrium is redefined as a multipurpose space: from informal meetings and spontaneous breaks to corporate events and brand presentations. The design focuses on a light and technological atmosphere, with a careful selection of furniture and suspended lighting that reinforce the space’s unique character.
The corporate dining area is transformed into a warm and functional canteen, with a design that prioritizes comfort and belonging. Wood, as the main material, along with gentle, enveloping lighting, creates an atmosphere that invites pause and conversation. As an identity gesture, nooks are designed with textiles covered in the BMW color scheme, integrating semi-private areas that balance the collective and the intimate.
The outdoor terrace takes on a new lease of life as a flexible, green space. By incorporating light, comfortable furniture and carefully curated, movable vegetation—contained in designer pots that allow the space to be rearranged according to the occasion—a fresh, friendly, and adaptable atmosphere is created. Ideal for both spontaneous gatherings and brand events, the terrace becomes an open-air social hub.
With this intervention, Ubicca and BMW Ibérica foster a more open, collaborative corporate culture aligned with new ways of working.
