BAT is the commitment of the Basque Government, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and the City Council of Bilbao to turn the Basque Country into a benchmark in entrepreneurship and innovation, so the essence of the project is based on creating a space that reinforces the concepts sought for the emblematic building.
The intervention is developed along the 11 intermediate floors of the tower, taking advantage of the envelope and the structure of the building with a space of industrial technological character.
It is through the materiality of the project that the story of the history of the city, its customs and traditions, as well as the activities that have been a fundamental economic engine, is sought. The exposed structure, optimized to achieve the highest standards of comfort and functionality, is accompanied by local materials that give character to the interior space, oak and metal worked by experts in the region.
The analysis and experimentation exercise carried out on the ways of working to create synergies and collaborations translates into the creation of open work spaces that become the base element of the intervention, allowing a correlation between different teams and companies, which have at their disposal private offices of different capacities fully equipped to achieve optimal comfort in the development of new ways of working.
In support of these spaces, meeting and innovation rooms are designed where training activities, brainstorming exercises or strategic reflections can be carried out to encourage entrepreneurship among the occupants.
